End of Beginning

As my lecturer walks away from then hospital where am attached as a student (M.P Shah Hospital), it starts to dawn on me school is over. I mean over in that I will not be in any classroom again unless I decide to go for masters. This has been my final year in University pursuing a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science. Assessment is now over and God willing I shall be graduating in December.
I look back to when I first stepped into a classroom back in my rural home in Keroka. The school was known as Masaba Academy. Back then, it was a mere joke telling me to work hard. Life had no purpose at all, except of course the time we spent playing with my friends after school.
As it started getting organized, I would spare saying 'serious', I switched schools and joined a public school that goes by the name Kierira Primary School. This one was a school of the people and I appreciate the fact that it taught me the basic life lessons. Here I met pupils from all angles of life and it was worthy the enrollment.
I usually consider my first class to be in the third school I joined, Eronge Adventist Primary School. The institution that gave me a complete turn around in my entire academic life. When I always thought I was the best, I met those that I needed to learn from. The competition was stiff and by then I was in class five and I knew what it meant to be in position one. Besides my academic life, my spiritual life was also well nurtured and I am glad that I went to that school.
KCPE was fast approaching and that is when I realized that threats play an important role in success. My teachers and parents were
